Description and purpose
Vacuum circuit breaker VEP12 is designed for installation in compartments of switchgears and unilateral maintenance assembled chamber with the middle location of the indoor installation switching compartment for 10 kV voltage class of three phase AC 50 Hz for circuits with insulated or grounded through arc reactor or resistor neutral. The overall and connecting dimensions of VCBs allow not only to install them in all types of compartments of switchgears and unilateral maintenance assembled chambers, but also to install them when replacing expired power circuit breakers (retrofits).

Distinctive features:

embedded poles and spring-motor drive;

possibility of manual close with unfed control circuits;

possibility to conduct a cycle OFF-ON-OFF in the absence of supply voltage on the motor drive;

during the spring charging process, VCB consumes energy evenly, with no surges;

designed for fixed and withdrawable versions;

modular design of the VCB drive, which implies separation on functional parts of the mechanical connections inside the VCB. If necessary, closing and opening modules can be replaced separately;

the repair time for mechanical part of VEP12 is less than 0.5 hours.
